Our first feature, In Search of the Last Action Heroes, is the most comprehensive retrospective of the ‘80s action film genre ever made, featuring a huge cast of contributors that included Paul Verhoeven (Director - Robocop, Starship Troopers), Bill Duke (Actor - Predator, Commando), Shane Black (Predator, Lethal Weapon) and Cynthia Rothrock (Actor - China O’Brien, Lady Dragon). In Search of the Last Action Heroes set the tone for our future documentaries by focusing on in-depth and wide-ranging discussions with industry legends.
Entirely crowdfunded and free from studio oversight, In Search of the Last Action Heroes was a critical success, focusing on the topics that fans really wanted to hear about. After successful campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, it was released to fans in late 2019 before later being acquired by Gravitas Ventures.
